Duties and Responsibilities of HR Jobs in Canada

Recruitment and Retention

  • Engaging the public and promoting the organization’s brand and professions in a positive, extroverted manner while representing the company at job fairs

  • Engages in the collective bargaining process by researching labor relations-related topics, such as historical practices, pertinent laws, workplace issues, grievance-related trends, and case histories, and contributing ideas for negotiating strategies. Furthermore, it develops verbiage for collective agreements, evaluates propositions and their associated costs and benefits, and generates other negotiation materials.
  • Represents management in accelerated arbitrations, labor and classification grievances, appeals, and other dispute resolution procedures.
  • Strives to establish and sustain relationships with union officials and leaders, and actively participates in discussions to resolve prevalent labor relations issues.
  • Grievance management involves the preparation of responses, the surveillance of developments, and the participation in meetings.

General:

  • You may be required to undertake supplementary, sporadic tasks or initiatives as required.
