Ehsaas Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Students

For the first time in the history of Pakistan and the HEC 50000 Need Base, the Prime Minister of Pakistan The Ehsaas Scholarship Program is for poor students from middle-class families who cannot afford education expenses and are unable to pay their hostel fees. More than 200,000 students are expected to benefit from the Ehsaas Scholarship Program during the next four years.

After completing intermediate, further education is regarded as the sole path to escape poverty in Pakistan. In our country, only 0.4% of children from middle-class families are admitted to higher education institutions, which is lower than the national average of 10%. The primary goal of the Ehsaas Scholarship Program is to put an end to uneven rights.

Introduction

People often say that education is the key to a better future, but for many would-be students, this key is out of reach because they can’t afford it. This is where the Ehsaas Scholarship Program comes in, saving the day for people who want to go to college.

What is Ehsaas Scholarship Program?

The Ehsaas Scholarship Program is a government program in Pakistan that helps worthy first-year college students across the country by giving them money. This grant was made possible by the Ehsaas Program, which is one of the biggest social safety nets in Pakistan. Its goal is to make college possible for everyone.

Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Program

  • During the past 14 years, HEC has granted a total of 30,000 undergraduate scholarships, but now, approximately 50,000 students from low-income households receive scholarships each year across all four provinces (AJK, Gilgit Baltistan, and Sindh Punjab). A student’s household annual income must be less than Rs 45,000 to be eligible for the Ehsaas Scholarship Program.

Over the course of four years, the program will benefit two hundred thousand students. This award covers full tuition costs and includes a monthly stipend of 4,000 rupees ($50). At a cost of Rs. 24 billion, this scheme was expanded to include public universities in the four territories of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. On March 2nd, the Prime Minister will give the first phase of the 24 billion to deserving students throughout Pakistan.
  • The strategy is to provide opportunities for youngsters to enter higher education and to ensure equal educational opportunities for all. Recognizing its reality, which has a population of roughly 220 million, more than half of whom are university students, the Government of Pakistan’s objective is to work on such programs that provide the motivation to provide access to financially qualified individuals while also encouraging equal rights.
  • Women will receive 50% of the scholarships available through the Ehsaas Scholarship Program. Every year, 50,000 scholarships will be awarded. In four years, two hundred thousand dollars in scholarships will be registered.
  • Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship is a notable achievement in scholarship A for students in this program. Students from less privileged backgrounds who are impoverished and qualified were offered good scholarships in their first year.
