Park Place Seniors Living Is Currently Seeking A LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (FULL TIME PERMANENT) To Work At Our 75-Suite Retirement Community In Squamish!

In accordance with the mission, vision, and values of PPSL, the LPN uses the nursing process and applies his/her nursing knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment in performing assessments, planning, implementing, and providing quality and person-centered care to residents in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team.

The LPN follows the Competency Guidelines and Full Scope of Practice as outlined by the Practice Standards and Code of Ethics of the relevant Provincial Governing Body, as well as PPSL Policies and Procedures. The LPN/RPN works in an environment where client care needs are established and changes in health status are predictable, ensuring a commitment to PPSL’s “Culture of Safety.”


  • Observe, report, and record vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, and initiate corrective health measures as needed. Ensure that required nursing care techniques are followed.
  • Residents are assessed, and care plans are developed, implemented, reviewed, and evaluated. Monitors residents’ health, noting changes in condition and determining the need for doctor referrals; processes and implements physician orders.
  • Organize and direct functions and activities related to resident care, including restorative and palliative care as needed. Interprets and puts established policies, procedures, and regulations into action.
  • Planned, directed, supervise, and evaluate the work of the unit’s nursing and personal care staff. Orient and train new employees, as well as participate in in-service education. Monitors and evaluates performance, and refers problems to the Director of Care.
